Glyka Nera
Information about Glyka Nera
Situated on the southern coast of Crete, Glyka Nera Beach (Glyka Nera meaning Sweet Waters in Greek) stands out with its pebbly shoreline, encircled by imposing cliffs and distinctive rocks, setting it apart from many of Crete’s typical sandy beaches. Under the sunlight, these pebbles glisten, creating a striking contrast against the deep blue of the Libyan Sea.
To reach Glyka Nera Beach, visitors have two options: either take a boat from Chora Sfakion or embark on a scenic hike along a coastal path. Because of its slightly remote access, the beach maintains a less crowded ambiance.
